I am so blessed to have taken couple photos, engagement photos, wedding photos, and now maternity photos for my brother and sister-in law!! It’s also really neat to see how I’ve grown and changed in my photography throughout the years of taking their photos too!
I have walked at Guelph Lake many times, but for some reason never considered the dam as a photo spot! When Tara mentioned it to me because they spend a lot of time there with Harley, I was really excited to take their maternity photos there! I am so happy with how they turned out! My sister in law is just glowing! 😍🌿🖤 I may be a little biased, but I think she looks amazing! I can not wait for this little girl to make her appearance in the world in just a few weeks to make these two officially parents, and make me an aunt all over again!! 🤭💕
Sometimes people ask me if it is hard for me, to take photos of this stage in life for others? Maternity sessions, family sessions with young kids, new life?! And yes, honestly, some sessions, some days are harder then others – but honestly, I really love being able to capture these memories for other people because in some way I feel like I understand even more how much this time must be cherished. I find it even easier when it comes to my own family because I am so grateful that our extended family gets to grow, and this is a new baby and niece that I get to cherish and spoil and be the world’s best aunt to! I am grateful that they have been blessed with this pregnancy and not had any difficulties with getting to this point in their life! I pray that everything continues to go well with the pregnancy and bringing this baby girl into the world, healthy and happy!
Thought I would share some of my favourites from their session – I had a hard time choosing – a beautiful couple, an adorable dog, a really great location, and the perfect sunset! Enjoy!!
